Chaotic incident erupts at Clovis wedding venue

August 4, 2025 — A festive wedding celebration turned chaotic Sunday night as Clovis Police Department officers were called to the “Aroza Event Center” at Peach and Shaw avenues around 10 p.m. Reports indicated a tumultuous scene involving approximately 50 to 75 individuals, resulting in several detentions and one individual being transported to a local hospital.

Upon arrival, officers encountered around a dozen people outside the venue engaged in multiple altercations, which continued despite police intervention. The cause of the altercation remains under investigation, with authorities withholding further details at this time.
