The Middle School Basketball League, which begins June 13, offers 7th and 8th graders an opportunity to develop an understanding of the game, sportsmanship, and teamwork in a fun and safe environment throughout a 9-week period. All participants are guaranteed seven regular season games, one hour of practice per week, and an-end-of-the-season tournament. A $115 league fee is required, which pays for the team jersey, a shooting shirt, a team photo and awards. Players will practice Mondays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and games are played Friday. A parent meeting will be held Monday, June 12 at 7 p.m. at Clovis Recreation Center.
The Youth Basketball League, intended for ages 6-11, also kicks off June 13. This 9-week league offers seven regular season games, one hour of practice per week and an end-of-the-season tournament. The $105 league fee pays for team jersey, shooting shirt, team picture, and awards. All practices will take place at the Clovis Recreation Center between 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. All games are played throughout the week. A parent meeting takes place Monday, June 12 at 7 p.m. at Clovis Recreation Center
The Tiny Dibblers League starts up June 20 and is a 7-week instructional basketball league that helps 4-5 year olds understand and break down the game of basketball. The league includes one clinic, six regular season games, and one hour practice a week. The $85 league fee pays for team jersey and shorts, team pictures, and awards. All practices will take place at Clovis Recreation Center on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. while games are played Fridays at Sierra Bicentennial Park. A mandatory parent meeting will take place at Clovis Recreation Center June 16 at 5:30 p.m.
