Clovis continues high livability ranking

April 23, 2025 – Clovis continues to be one of the best places to live in the United States, according to Livability.com’s Top 100 Best Places to Live list.

The website, highlighting small to mid-sized cities across the country based on data-driven analysis, has ranked cities with population sizes of 75,000 and 500,000 for twelve years in a row.

The data factors in affordability, economy, health, education, and amenities to determine the best places to live in the States.

“Our ‘Top 100 Best Places to Live in the U.S.’ list is a data-driven collection of what we consider to be the best small to mid-sized places to live in,” explained Livability.com editor-in-chief Amanda Ellis. “It’s the only list out there truly honing in on affordability, lauding the amazing, accessible cities across the country other than our large U.S. metros, which often get more recognition.”

Clovis particularly earned high grades in the economy, environment, and amenities categories, earning a Quality of Life LivScore of 731 out of 1000.

This achievement brought Clovis to the top 100 rankings for Livability.com for each of the last three years.

Clovis was initially established as a freight stop on the San Joaquin Valley Railroad. Since then, it has grown into a bustling city with a strong educational system, dedicated city officials, and opportunities to better one’s quality of life.

Additionally, Old Town Clovis preserves a historic streetscape with cobblestone paths and traditional storefronts while maintaining the modern needs of its’ facilities.

Featuring restaurants, shops, and community events to keep all their residents busy and healthy throughout the year, the city has earned a special place in the hearts of locals.
