October 10, 2025 — The Clovis Fire Department is growing once again — welcoming four new firefighters to the team as the city continues to strengthen its public safety resources and prepare for future expansion.

This latest hiring marks a significant step forward in staffing a new fire engine, a move that will enhance the department’s ability to respond quickly and effectively across the community. Officials say the expansion will help ensure Clovis residents continue to receive the high level of service and care they’ve come to expect.

“This growth represents our ongoing commitment to public safety,” said a department spokesperson. “With a new engine coming online, we’re proud to bring on these talented new firefighters who will help us better serve the people of Clovis.”

The addition of these four team members was made possible in part by Measure Y, a local initiative approved by Clovis voters to help fund essential city services such as police, fire, and emergency response. City officials also credit the continued support of the Clovis City Council for ensuring the resources necessary to meet the community’s growing needs.

Residents are encouraged to help welcome the newest members of the Clovis Fire family as they begin their careers serving the city.

With each addition to its ranks, the Clovis Fire Department continues its long-standing mission of “Service with Pride” — protecting lives, property, and the spirit of the community it calls home.
