April 30, 2025 — The Clovis Veterans Memorial District is preparing to host its annual Salute to Patriots Dinner on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 6:00 PM, a cherished tradition that honors graduating seniors from Clovis Unified School District who have committed to serving in the U.S. Armed Forces or participating in Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) programs.
This formal event serves as a significant send-off for these young men and women as they embark on their military journeys. It also provides invaluable support and connection for their families, introducing them to the unique customs and communities within each branch of the military.
In a thoughtful effort to bridge experiences and foster understanding, each student and their family will be seated alongside a currently serving military member, a veteran, and a military parent. This arrangement is designed to spark meaningful conversations about military life, offering diverse perspectives on current realities, the long-term opportunities service creates, and the vital family support systems that help navigate times of separation.
Attendees can also look forward to brief, impactful testimonials from representatives of each branch of the U.S. military. These speakers will offer words of encouragement and inspiration as the students prepare to begin their careers in service.
The Salute to Patriots Dinner is an invitation-only event, drawing community leaders, local veterans, and active-duty service members who wish to express their gratitude and support for these future military leaders.
The Clovis Veterans Memorial District extends a warm invitation to media representatives and community members to join in documenting this special evening that celebrates unity, service, and the strong commitment of the Clovis community.
The Clovis Veterans Memorial District’s mission is to maintain a permanent memorial honoring U.S. Military and Veterans and to offer facilities and support programs that promote a legacy of service, upholding the foundational ideals of our community and nation.
