Clovis Police arrest man attempting to ship methamphetamine

February 19, 2025 — A man arrested in Clovis is facing multiple charges after authorities intercepted a package containing methamphetamine he allegedly attempted to ship out of state.

According to Clovis Police, 52-year-old Joshua Clark was arrested Tuesday morning when the department’s Special Enforcement Team served a warrant at a home near Shields and DeWolf avenues. Investigators say Clark had been attempting to send methamphetamine to another state, but the package was intercepted before it reached its destination.

During the search, officers found additional evidence that led to multiple charges against Clark, including possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sale, and transportation of methamphetamine. Additionally, as a convicted felon, Clark is also facing a charge for being in possession of a firearm.

Authorities have not disclosed how much methamphetamine was seized or how the package was intercepted. Clovis Police emphasize that their efforts to curb drug-related crimes remain a top priority.

Clark is now in custody as the investigation continues.
