
March 18, 2025 — The Clovis Veterans Memorial District, in collaboration with the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 993 and local community service organizations, invites the public to a solemn ceremony on National Vietnam War Veterans Day. This event, dedicated to honoring the bravery and sacrifice of Vietnam War veterans, promises a day of reflection and gratitude.
The ceremony will begin with a tribute to local veterans, featuring speeches and acknowledgments from esteemed guests. Following the formal program, attendees can explore exhibits commemorating veterans’ service, engage with resource booths from various veteran organizations, and enjoy a complimentary lunch.
Lorenzo Rios, CEO of Clovis Veterans Memorial District and current Central Region Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, will deliver the opening address. Joseph Sweeney, former Central Region Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army and current 6th Region President of The Association of the United States Army, will deliver the keynote speech. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3225 will present the Color Guard.
The event will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District’s Rex Phebus Memorial Building in the Liberty Ballroom, located at 808 4th St, Clovis, CA 93612. Doors open at 10:00 a.m., with the ceremony beginning promptly at 10:30 a.m.
