December 1, 2025 — With December underway, the Clovis Senior Activity Center is kicking off a full slate of winter activities designed to keep local seniors active, creative, and connected throughout the holiday season.
One of this month’s newest offerings is Cardio Drumming, a high-energy but low-impact class led by instructor Stephanie, who has built a loyal following with her fitness programs. Pre-registration is required due to high interest.
For those looking to add a personal touch to their holiday gifting, December brings a POSH Holiday Project, giving participants the chance to create seasonal décor with a little extra flair. Space is limited, and registration is now open.
Creative hands will also be at work in Knitting with Andrew, a popular class where seniors can learn to make scarves, socks, washcloths and more—perfect handmade gifts as the holidays approach.
Families welcoming a new baby this season may find value in the Safe Sleeps/SIDS Presentation, an educational session on safe sleeping practices for infants. Registration for this class is handled at the Senior Center’s front desk.
Along with its regular programming, the center is also rolling out several holiday events aimed at lifting spirits, offering residents a chance to gather, celebrate and enjoy the season together. Details are available in the center’s events section and monthly newsletter.
The December edition also features Ashlee’s Nutrition Corner, which highlights resources for the center’s lunch program and provides helpful information on healthy eating. The full December lunch menu is available online.
Residents can view the complete December newsletter for more activities, classes and updates from the Senior Center.
