Taking It to the Streets is a food and urban design festival to be held in Old Town Clovis on May 12th and 13th, 2018. This event builds upon the 2016 festival where 10’ x 20’ on-street parking spaces are temporarily turned into human places…”humatats”. This year, the event will feature a food tasting element.
Designers will be “pairing-up” with Old Town restaurants in creating a space that festival visitors may use for dining, chatting with friends, or just hanging out.
This festival will include ”A Taste of Clovis” (a sampling of foods found in the Old Town area) which will occur from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 12. Festivities will also include live entertainment at Centennial Plaza. The festival will culminate with the world famous “Architectural Street Relay Race” where design teams compete for the best time around the course.
Ticket sales for “A Taste of Clovis” will support the development of the Clovis Culinary Center; a commercial kitchen available for community use.
