October 29, 2025 – Our community is mourning the death of a woman who was hit and killed last night in a fatal collision near Clovis and Ashlan. Tuesday night just after 9:30 P.M., Clovis Police officers responded to Clovis Avenue just south of Griffith Way (south of Ashlan), for a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian. First responders attempted life-saving efforts immediately, however sadly, the pedestrian passed away. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with our investigation.
The Clovis Police Department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) was called out to investigate the circumstances as Clovis Avenue was closed temporarily. Our investigation has shown that the pedestrian was crossing Clovis Avenue eastbound and was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound. Drugs and/or alcohol are not suspected to be a factor in this collision. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has identified the pedestrian as 55-year-old Tina Taylor of Clovis.
