April 30, 2025 — Get ready, Clovis! No Surrender Adventure Park is gearing up to launch its newest, cutting-edge attraction: Nexus, a revolutionary interactive gaming experience that blends the thrill of physical projectiles with the digital precision of video games. The park, located at 1200 Shaw Ave Suite 103, is inviting media to a special preview day on Friday, May 2nd at 4 PM to witness the unveiling of this groundbreaking system.
Dubbed the “Spatial Gaming Console,” Nexus combines the best elements of paintball and laser tag, all while drawing inspiration from the immersive world of video games. Developed by Gel Blaster, the rapidly growing toy company known for its innovative water ball blasters, Nexus promises an engaging experience for both team-based and free-for-all play.
The heart of the Nexus system lies in its trio of sophisticated components. Players will wield the Nexus Blaster, a technologically advanced device that fires water balls at speeds between 170 and 240 feet per second. Integrated infrared emitters and ultrasonic sensors ensure safe play and accurate tracking of each shot for scoring. An interactive screen on the blaster keeps players informed about the match status and allows them to choose from various blaster modes and power-ups, adding a layer of strategic depth to the gameplay.
Complementing the blaster is the Nexus Vest, equipped with piezoelectric hit detection panels and illuminated by over 600 programmable RGB LEDs. The vest not only precisely registers hits but also provides visual, auditory, and haptic feedback through dynamic animations and the Nexus AI Voice Assistant, enhancing players’ tactical awareness on the field.
Adding another dimension to the experience are the Nexus Portal Smart Targets. These dynamic points of interest within the gaming arena react when targeted and hit. Depending on the game mode, hitting a portal can grant players valuable power-ups, bonus points, or even health boosts, creating a constantly evolving and engaging environment.
All aspects of the gameplay are managed by a state-of-the-art software system that controls the matches, tracks scores, and monitors hardware performance. This allows for multiple game modes and detailed player profiles, providing both exhilarating entertainment for users and user-friendly operational tools for the park staff. Notably, the Nexus system extends beyond the arena, with a companion app allowing players to track their stats and rewards even when playing at home.
No Surrender Adventure Park is clearly excited about this new addition, stating that Nexus is its “most exciting and newest attraction for everyone!” While the grand opening date for the public is yet to be announced, interested individuals are encouraged to follow the park’s social media channels for updates.
Randy Castillo, Director of Sales & Marketing, invites media representatives to the preview day on May 2nd to experience Nexus firsthand and encourages them to reach out with any questions or to schedule a time for story content.
Important Note: Participants must be at least 48 inches tall to play, and standard height and safety rules and game restrictions will apply.
With the promise of a unique blend of physical activity and digital engagement, Nexus at No Surrender Adventure Park looks set to become a major draw for entertainment seekers of all ages in the Clovis area. Keep an eye out for the grand opening announcement!
