May 4, 2025 — Old Town Clovis transformed into a delightful haven for wine enthusiasts this past Saturday, May 3rd, as the annual Spring Wine Walk unfolded throughout the historic district. Organized by the Business Organization of Old Town (B.O.O.T.), the event offered attendees a unique opportunity to stroll through participating merchant locations, savoring a diverse selection of local and regional wines.
Heather Frantzich and her dedicated team at B.O.O.T. orchestrated a truly wonderful event, paying meticulous attention to the layout and the overall inviting ambiance. The lively tunes of Country Rewind filled the air from their stage set up on the crosswalk in front of the EECU credit union, while delicious food options were conveniently provided by Salsa’s Cantina. The combination of great music, tasty bites, and top-tier alcoholic beverages made for a truly enjoyable evening.
The commemorative wine glass and punch card provided to each ticket holder served as a passport to a delightful evening of discovery. With a map in hand, attendees navigated through the charming streets, stopping at various merchant locations that had transformed into temporary tasting rooms.
A journey through the vendor stops offered a vivid snapshot of the event’s appeal. At Stop 15, Freakshow wines could be found nestled within the eclectic offerings of Together & Co Thrift and Boutique. Just a few steps away at Stop 12, J Dusi Wines poured their selections inside the welcoming atmosphere of One The Edge where their back patio turned into a festive offering that catered to those looking for a more intimate live music experience. The adventure began for many at Stop 1, where Lesterland Winery offered a taste of their vintages within the charming confines of Bauble & Thread.
Further exploration led to Stop 11, where 3 Oaks Vineyard and Winery shared their wines at Sassasno’s. The Country Rose played host to another delightful tasting experience at Stop 5 with Line 39, while Stop 4 offered the wines of Summerwood Winery & Inn within the walls of Clovis Antique Mall. The elegance of Daou wines could be discovered at Jackson Jewelers (Stop 8), and Juggernaut wines were being poured at the ever-popular Papa’s Place (Stop 13). The global flavors of Matua, Veilsing, and Stoneleigh were showcased at Viva Boutique (Stop 16).
The impressive lineup of participating wineries ensured a diverse palate of flavors for attendees to explore. The featured wineries included many other local favorites and esteemed regional producers such as Rodeo Camp, Skinner, Summerwood, McPrice Myers, Oliver, Quady, Honoro Vera, Sterling, and Liberty School, alongside many more.
For those who discovered a new favorite, the Wine Shop, conveniently located at the corner of 5th and Pollasky, provided the opportunity to purchase bottles and cases from the participating wineries, allowing the enjoyment to continue long after the event concluded.
Sponsored by Dave Shrivers State Farm and Hogue & Associates, the 2025 Spring Wine Walk once again demonstrated the vibrant community spirit of Old Town Clovis. The event not only provided a delightful evening of wine tasting but also supported local businesses and fostered a lively atmosphere within the historic district.
