November 4, 2025 — Quesadilla Gorilla, a popular Central California quesadilla chain with five current locations, is set to open a new restaurant in Clovis early next year, even as two of its existing locations prepare to close.
The Hanford location, which has served the community for five years, will shut its doors on December 20. The Tulare location will close sooner, on November 9, due to circumstances beyond the restaurant’s control. While these closures mark the end of an era for those communities, other locations in Visalia, the Tower District in Fresno, and San Luis Obispo will continue operations without interruption.
The decision to close these two locations is part of a strategic effort to streamline operations and focus on growth opportunities, including the upcoming Clovis location near Shepherd. The new restaurant is expected to bring Quesadilla Gorilla’s signature menu and community-centered atmosphere to the city in early 2026.
Despite the upcoming closures, the chain remains committed to its mission of building connections through food, laughter, and shared experiences. The expansion into Clovis signals optimism for the brand’s continued presence in the Central Valley, offering residents another destination for their favorite quesadillas.
