Suspect arrested after early-morning homicide in Clovis

December 11, 2025 — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the city’s second homicide of 2025 after an early-morning discovery near the Fresno County Child Protective Services building.

According to the Clovis Police Department, an officer patrolling the area of Ashlan and Villa just before 3:30 a.m. found a deceased adult male in a parking lot. Detectives and crime scene personnel were called to the scene, where they began collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.

The investigation quickly led officers to a suspect in Fresno. Police say the individual was taken into custody without incident.

Authorities are working with the Fresno County Coroner’s Office to notify the victim’s family. The identity of the man is being withheld until next of kin can be located.
