4/23/25 – At 8:57PM, several 911 calls came into the Clovis Police Department communications center regarding a shooting in the parking lot of McDonalds located at Willow/Nees in Clovis.
At the location a juvenile was shot at least once and transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to a statement by CUSD Superintendent Corrine Folmer, Ed.D. the victim, later identified as 18 year old Caleb Quick, was a current senior at Clovis Online School and previously attended Buchanan High School.
The suspect was last seen wearing all black, with a black hoodie over their head, carrying a handgun.
Clovis Police Detectives and CSI were called out and are investigating the circumstances of the shooting.
