
December 31, 2025 — The Clovis Veterans Memorial District will serve as the setting for a community-wide cultural event celebrating Hmong heritage and its place within the broader American story.
Celebrating the American Spirit: Hmong American Friendship is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District, located at 808 Fourth St. Community members are encouraged to arrive at 10 a.m., with the program beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The event is designed to highlight the history, traditions and enduring spirit of Hmong culture while fostering greater understanding and connection within the Clovis community. Planned activities include a formal opening ceremony, a walk-through cultural exhibit, and traditional Hmong performances showcasing music, dance and storytelling. A community gathering area with local food trucks will also be available throughout the morning.
Organizers aim to create an educational and welcoming environment that honors the contributions of Hmong Americans and encourages meaningful cultural exchange. By hosting the celebration at the Veterans Memorial District, the event also underscores shared values of service, resilience and community legacy that resonate across cultures.
