October 7, 2025 — Under the warm glow of the Harvest Moon, laughter, music, and generosity filled the halls of the Clovis Veterans Memorial District during the third annual Pianos for a Purpose: Harvest Moon & Melodies, hosted by the Los Rancheros Guild in support of Valley Children’s Healthcare.

The evening featured the crowd-favorite Killer Dueling Pianos, whose high-energy, interactive performance kept the audience clapping, singing, and even dancing between tables. Guests enjoyed a barbecue dinner, desserts, and a well-stocked bar while bidding on an array of silent auction items and participating in wine giveaways, all in the name of helping children in need.

“This event is our annual fundraiser that benefits Valley Children’s Healthcare,” said Jenna Perkovich, president of the Los Rancheros Guild. “More specifically, it supports a $10 million endowment for the ECMO program—a critical, life-saving program that helps kids right here in the Valley.”

Now in its third year and second time hosted at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District, Pianos for a Purpose drew roughly 150 attendees and raised an estimated $25,000 through ticket sales, auction bids, and in-event fundraisers such as the wine drawing and Fast Five.

Perkovich praised the venue for its convenience and community feel. “Clovis Veterans is a fantastic venue, it’s kind of your one-stop shop for anything,” she said. “They’re accommodating and central to our members and supporters, many of whom live right here in Clovis.”

Every note played and every bid placed during the evening contributed to Valley Children’s ECMO and healthcare endowments, ensuring that critical medical care continues to reach the youngest patients across the Central Valley.

As the final piano keys rang out and the crowd rose in applause, the message of the night was clear, when the community comes together under one roof, compassion can make the sweetest music of all.
